Foundation’s Charter Oak features tobaccos grown in the Connecticut River Valley of founder Nick Melillo’s home state. The name itself pays respect to a historically significant tree near which Native Americans would congregate and grow tobacco of their own.
Tasting Notes:
Made of either a Connecticut Shade, or a Connecticut Broadleaf, wrapper and fillers from the Jalapa and Estelí regions of Nicaragua, the Charter Oak elicits a creamy flavor accented with chocolate, and hints of roasted nuts and pepper.
